A Single Trade-Off to Kick Start Your Life
If you want to kick start your life but can’t seem to find the time, this is for you.
You can miss out on a lot of opportunities if you tell yourself you’re short on time. Although you may be convinced that what you’re working on at the moment is of utmost importance, the reality is that you’re probably just making excuses to stay within your comfort zone. You can always find time for things when you really need to; remember that time when you had a great idea and started working on it right away?
For most people, personal development begins with the body. Physical movement is the only part of yourself that you have complete conscious control over. By training your body, the discipline, focus, and energy you acquire will permeate through to the other areas of your life. But most of all, being fit is fun.
Exercise is the key to kicking yourself out of a slump. It might seem like a small step in the grand scheme of things, but it’s a vital one nevertheless. The statistics are everywhere; just Google “why exercise” and you’ll get back 450 million results.
If you’re really stressed out about time, think about it like this: how bad would it be if you traded 15 minutes of sleep for 15 minutes of high-intensity exercise? For short periods of time, exercise trumps sleep any day of the week. Even if you’re an extreme workaholic sleeping for five hours a day, cutting off another 15 minutes won’t have any drawbacks. But replace those minutes with a short run to get your heart rate going and you will feel the difference.
